FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

Start date: April 2025

Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota seeks a skilled Facilities Technician to join the 4-person Facilities Department at FST. The work is primarily repair and scheduled preventative maintenance followed by projects as needed. This is a full-time role.

M-F work week, primarily 7am-4pm, with availability to come in on weekends if needed to address any Facilities related issues.

Requirements:

+middot; Ability to lift 50lb.

+middot; Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and landscaping requirements.

+middot; Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.

+middot; Perform landscaping duties.

+middot; Maintain all areas safe and clean by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.

+middot; Monitor and replenish supplies.

+middot; Janitorial responsibilities.

+middot; Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for guests and employees.

+middot; Assist with special tasks and projects.

+middot; Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+middot; Previous experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping.

+middot; Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques, as well as landscaping principles and practices.

+middot; Ability to operate equipment and tools safely and effectively. Own tools a plus.

+middot; Must be available to on call 24/7.

+middot; Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

+middot; Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

+middot; Must be able to work in an indoor and outdoor environment.

+middot; Basic understanding of CCMS systems.

Salary range: $18 - $22 @ hour
