Seeking a Company Manager for Summer Stock Austin's 2025 summer season. Prior experience as a Company Manager is required and experience in a repertory setting is preferred. Remote work begins June 16th and in-person work will begin on or around June 23rd.

The CM oversees the working and living experience of the entire Company including actors, directors, designers and production staff for all events and performances. Successful candidates will be self-starters with a knack for engaging with all types of people and are able to think creatively on the fly. They will have exemplary preparation and organization skills and be able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure. The Company Manager is a full-time seasonal position. Nights and weekends throughout the summer season are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

-Supervision of the Company Management Team-
-Assigning and maintenance of staff and guest artist housing.
-Schedule creation and management including:
Performance/Rehearsal Check-In
-Financial organization and budget tracking for the Company Management department, including overseeing reimbursements for company members for travel, etc.
-Oversee the distribution of welcome materials for all guest artists
-Assist general management as needed with contracts
-Oversee and coordinate meals and/or catering during tech for company members
-Accompany staff and artists to medical facilities after work related injuries.


EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS

-Must have a valid US driver+rsquo;s license, with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience.
-Previous theater management experience is required, including an understanding of the Actor+rsquo;s Equity Rulebook.
-Collaborative energy, +ldquo;can do+rdquo; attitude and positive, empathetic spirit.
-Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
-Self-motivation to stay organized in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
-Proficiency in Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Gmail, Google Calendar).
-Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 30 lbs.
-Comfortable in an environment that can involve up to several hours a day on your feet.


HOUSING + PAY

Housing will be provided for the in-person duration of the contract. There will be a flat fee paid in two installments: One after our first production opens and the second at the end of the season.
