Crossroads Repertory Theatre, located on the campus of Indiana State University, is seeking a talented and creative Scenic Artist to join our team for our exciting summer season.
Responsibilities:

-Collaborate closely with the Scenic Designer and other production staff to realize the scenic designs for both productions.
-Execute scenic painting techniques to create textures, finishes, and scenic elements that enhance the visual storytelling of each production.
-Interpret and translate design concepts into practical painting plans and techniques.
-Work efficiently and creatively to meet deadlines and maintain the production schedule.
-Assist with the sourcing and preparation of materials needed for scenic painting.
-Uphold safety standards and protocols in all scenic painting activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
-Participate in load-ins and after rehearsals as needed.

Requirements:
-Previous experience in theatrical scenic painting, minimum 3 years of experience
-Proficiency in a variety of scenic painting techniques.
-Strong artistic skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a creative team and take direction effectively.
-Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and schedules.
-Knowledge of theatrical scenic construction techniques and materials is a plus.
