Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, in Grand Lake, Colorado, is seeking an experienced theatrical sound engineer for our 3 show summer repertory season. Shows include Frozen, Guys + Dolls, and Footloose. This is a one person department.
Head Sound will work with Sound Designer to set up system equipment, set up band, build mic rigs, program console and will mix live performances of 20+ cast and 6 band, and run Qlab.
Head sound will maintain the system and show and respond to notes from sound designer, director, and music director throughout the season. Will be expected to work on projects independently during prep and show run, prioritize and schedule work calls for notes and fixes.
Head Sound will also run a Cabaret performance in July.
May discuss including the RMRT Fall Show, Nunsense, which would extend the contract through October 6, 2025.
Candidate should have experience and training in mixing for live musical theatre and have a good ear for music. Should be adept at problem solving and troubleshooting. Candidate should be a team player within the production department.
Proficiency at Line by Line Mixing
Experience programming Yamaha LS9 and Qlab.
Must be comfortable working at height using ladders and Genie Lifts.
Experience with MIDI show control
Experience with Sennheiser Wireless Systems and WSM
Troubleshoot wired and wireless Com and 70V systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Housing and travel included.
