Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks experienced Dressers for our 2025 Season and Arts Academy productions. Approximate dates of employment vary per position between April and November 2025.

Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. Wardrobe Crew experience required; basic sewing/stitching skills are required. Reports to Wardrobe Supervisor and Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):
- Minor costume repairs.
- Reinforce buttons, quick rig garments, repair rips/tears, repair hems, label garments.
- Ensure proper cleaning, organization and delivery of costume pieces.
- Assist with backstage quick changes.
- Create show tracks for each production detailing all aspects of their show including preshow, intermission, and post-show duties.
- Possess flexibility and positive backstage demeanor working with actors and other crew.
- Run each performance (8 shows/week).
- Assist in rehearsals and load-in/strike as necessary.
Assist with Arts Academy.
- Coordinate with Costume Shop Supervisor, staff, coordinators and/or designers to ensure a productive handoff and tech experience.
- Attending or watch video of designer run to determine quick changes and other costume related problems.
- Foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment backstage, in dressing rooms, and in wardrobe rooms.
- Ensure that the wardrobe rooms, backstage areas, and dressing rooms are kept in a clean and tidy manner.
- Job requires ability to sit/stand for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, or kneel while assisting actors, staff, and designer in execution of duties as assigned
- Job requires ability to lift, carry, move costumes and necessary equipment up and down stairs in varied lighting conditions.
- Unconventional hours may be required.

Position is a W2, $18/hr plus O/T and housing included.

Ogunquit Playhouse will now be offering Health insurance to all employees who are with the company for 120+ consecutive days and work at least 30 hours weekly. Ogunquit Playhouse will cover 75% of employee's company sponsored Health insurance premium. Dental and Vision insurance will also be available at the employee's expense. Employees who work the Ogunquit Playhouse's entire season will also accrue Earned Paid Leave up to 40 hours. Eligibility is based on the length of the contract. Shortening the length of that contract may affect eligibility.
