Shakespeare Theatre Company, in downtown Washington DC, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Retail and Concessions Manager to join our Audience Services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our patrons have a seamless and enjoyable experience at our theatre. Responsibilities include receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of food, beverages, and merchandise; training new Concessions Attendants; assisting with product ordering and inventory; making deposits at the bank and money change orders as needed; updating both physical and digital Retail and Concessions menus; troubleshooting Point of Sales equipment before service; approving staff schedule requests and serving as Lead Concessions Attendant during shows; and additional duties supporting the Retail + Concessions Manager. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $47,000 - $50,000, plus tips for any scheduled bar shifts.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer service, with experience working in food and beverage service preferred. An ABC Manager Certification and Food Safe Manager Certification, or a willingness to complete the training, is required. Experience working in POS systems required; experience working in Mobile Bytes preferred. Must be 21 years or older, have the ability to lift up to 25lbs, and have the availability to work daytime, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. We+rsquo;re looking for someone with strong communication skills, who is able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and who is confident discussing STC concessions, merchandise, and programs with patrons.
