ASSISTANT WARDROBE SUPERVISOR

* Pay: $900.00 a week, exempt salaried position
* Housing: Shared housing, fully furnished, collegiate style with a shared bedroom. Weekly Housing fee of $100.00

Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
* Direct Supervisor: Wardrobe Supervisor
* Have good knowledge of all the shows in the season
* Assist the Wardrobe Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the Wardrobe department
* Work wardrobe run crew for each show; work run crews for TYA performances and concerts as assigned
* Assist with organizing and maintaining costumes during the run of the shows
* Assist creating wardrobe run crew tracks as needed
* Assist creating Wig and Makeup run crew tracks as needed
* Assist with Wig changes
* Assist with the costume and wig load-in and strike for each show
* Prepare costumes and dressing areas for dress rehearsals, photo calls, and performances for assigned production
* Be familiar with the show, the costume plot, and costume pieces for assigned production
* Maintain costumes during the run of each production which includes daily and weekly laundering of costumes, accessories, and undergarments, ironing and all repairs
* Work in the Costume Shop as assigned under the supervision of the Costume Shop Manager
* Work with the Wigs team as assigned under the supervision of the Wig and Makeup Supervisor
* Assist Wig and Makeup team with wig maintenance, cleaning, and restyling as needed
* Assist Wig and Makeup team with tool and space organization, hat storage, labeling, and repairs
* Attend all run-throughs, backstage prep, all technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
* Participate in MSMT events as needed and/or required
* Adhere to the MSMT Safety protocols and all other applicable MSMT policies + procedures
* Drive MSMT vehicles
* Promote a collaborative, inclusive, positive and respectful working environment
* Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Production and MSMT Annual Staff
Qualifications
The following skills and experience are required:
* Experience working wardrobe crews on large musical productions, making wardrobe documents such as run sheets, quick change charts, pieces lists and laundry schedules.
* Basic sewing and clothing repair skills, utilizing both hand and machine stitching
* Familiarity with tools and equipment associated with wardrobe responsibilities (washing machines, dryers, steamers, irons, etc.)
* Experience doing quick wig changes
* Basic wig care and maintenance skills; knowledge of hair products, tools, and equipment
* Knowledge of clothing care techniques and products
* Able to manage teams and foster both team and individual growth among employees
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
* Able to work independently and as a team player
* Detail oriented and able to prioritize efficiently
* Driver+rsquo;s license and clean driving record required
* Car preferred but not required
