Works with the Scenic Designer to implement the design and coordinates all aspects of the build with the Technical Director.

+bull; Responsible for all aspects of scenery construction.

● Works within the allotted budget.

● Implements a scene shop work schedule with other carpenters. Adheres to production schedules to assure all scenery is completed on time.

● Must be proficient with power and hand tools and scenery building techniques as well as basic painting techniques.

● Familiar with construction materials and hardware.

● Will occasionally attend production meetings as needed to discuss any problem areas with the scenery construction.

● Responsible for any repairs, modifications, or maintenance on the set during the run.

● Responsible for load-in and strike of all set components as well as assists others with all move-in and strike operations

● Maintains clean workspace and ensures the scene shop is in good order at the end of the season.

*While these are the major responsibilities of the position, Tibbits expects a team approach in presenting summer stock; with the tight schedule and unpredictable nature of theatre, additional duties across production areas may be required.
