Orlando Shakespeare Theater, is searching for an Audio Technician - A2 for our production of A Christmas Carol. (November 17th 2025 through December 24th 2025)


About the Position

Assist the Audio Engineer and function as the A2 for productions.
Assist with installation and strike of production audio.
Perform all pre-show and post show duties as assigned.
Maintain cast and band microphones, monitors and perform necessary basic repairs on audio equipment.
Assist performers in the handling and placement of belt packs, + mics as directed by the Audio Engineer
Assist with trouble shooting as needed.
Assist with scene changes as needed.
Live-mixing skills and working knowledge of digital consoles a plus.
Working knowledge of standard audio related software including Qlab.
Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Standing for extended periods of time may be required. Clear written and verbal communication is required.

Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic brought to life on stage. Follow the journey of Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future in this timeless story of redemption and the spirit of giving.

Compensation

Salary: $18.00 per hour -- Housing and transportation is not provided. Must be available for all rehearsals and performances. Nights and weekends required.
