Audio Technician - A2

Orlando Shakespeare Theater, is searching for an Audio Technician - A2 for our production of A Christmas Carol. (November 11th 2024 through December 22th 2024)

This Position:
Will assist the Audio Engineer and function as the A2 for productions.

+bull; Assist the Audio Engineer at performances.
+bull; Assist with installation and strike of production audio.
+bull; Perform all pre-show and post show duties as assigned.
+bull; Maintain cast and band microphones, monitors and perform necessary basic repairs on audio equipment.
+bull; Assist performers in the handling and placement of belt packs, + mics as directed by the Audio Engineer
+bull; Assist with trouble shooting as needed.
+bull; Assist with scene changes as needed.
+bull; Live-mixing skills and working knowledge of digital consoles a plus.
+bull; Working knowledge of standard audio related software including Qlab.
+bull; Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
+bull; Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds. Standing for extended periods of time may be required. Clear written and verbal communication is required.

Salary: $18.00 per hour+ndash; Housing and transportation is not provided. The position is paid hourly plus overtime. Night and weekend availability is required.
