Viewpoint School is currently looking for a Sound Engineer to provide skilled technical support for our extensive array of live audio needs. This support shall include audio design + engineering, equipment set up + operation, live mixing, recording, and miking.
Primary Functions:
+bull; Configure + operate wireless and wired microphones of varying specifications, processing amplifiers, audio recorders, sound mixers, projectors, and computerized input equipment.
+bull; Provide sound design, sound effects creation/mixing, and technical support for productions held in various venues, on campus and off, during school hours and after-hours.
+bull; Provide audio visual support to the divisional assemblies and rehearsals, setting up the audio visual requests and providing technical support.
+bull; Support the Theater Department and the Events Planning Department with audio requests, setting up equipment, testing equipment, and when necessary, running the equipment.
+bull; Store, safeguard, and make minor repairs and adjustments to audiovisual equipment.
+bull; Provide technical advice on the use of audiovisual equipment.
+bull; Troubleshoots problems with audiovisual equipment, wiring systems and electrical components in all venues.
+bull; Inspects all setup on a routine basis for safety.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
+bull; Minimum of 3 years of experience in a school or production environment with in-depth knowledge and ability to operate wireless and wired microphones of varying specifications, processing amplifiers, audio recorders, sound mixers, projectors, and computerized audio equipment.
+bull; Must be skilled in Yamaha Mixing Consoles.
+bull; Must be skilled in QLab.
+bull; Must be familiar with Shure microphones and programming systems.
+bull; Must be skilled in PC, Apple computers, and networking.
+bull; Proven problem-solving capabilities, initiative, and follow through.
+bull; Knowledgeable on the use of commonly utilized audiovisual technologies.
+bull; Able to work effectively and calmly under pressure.
+bull; Able to work evenings and weekends when events require.
+bull; Able to maintain a courteous, customer service demeanor with faculty, staff, students, guest performers and parents.
+bull; Ability to self-teach equipment operation and maintenance skills from product documentation.
