About Us: Hideaway Circus presents Canvas Sky, a spectacular open air circus show touring the northeast U.S. We are dedicated to delivering an unforgettable experience to our audiences through innovative performances and outstanding entertainment. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Circus Advance Man.

Job Description: As a Circus Advance Man, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our circus performances by promoting the show and managing community outreach in each new town we visit. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event promotion and community engagement.

Weekly Fee: $900+ per week paid as an Independent Contractor. Opportunity for performance bonuses.

Start Date: Immediately through the end of September with the opportunity to extend.

Responsibilities:
Travel to designated towns 7-10 days ahead of the circus to promote upcoming performances.
Distribute promotional materials (posters, flyers) to local businesses, schools, and public spaces.
Arrange promotions with local newspapers, radio stations, and other media outlets.
Liaise with local businesses, community leaders, and influencers to generate buzz and support.
Organize promotional events and public appearances to attract attention to the circus.
Mark out local sites prior to the arrival of the circus.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
Basic knowledge of event promotion is preferred.
Enthusiasm for the circus and entertainment industry.

Requirements:
Must provide your own trailer, RV, or van for living accommodations.
Willingness to travel to one to three towns per week.
Travel expenses and daily allowances (per diem) covered by the company.
