The North Country Center for the Arts at Jean's Playhouse, a 260-seat traditional summer stock theatre located in the rural resort town of Lincoln, NH, is now hiring for its 2024 Summer Season, which will feature an outdoor concert, as well as three indoor mainstage productions. This year's titles are THE SECRET GARDEN IN CONCERT, CATS, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and MISERY.

The Properties Manager is in charge of building, borrowing, and purchasing all the necessary props, set dressing, and furniture for the season. The Properties Manager must have strong fabrication skills, including basic carpentry, painting, and graphic design / paper props (upholstery also useful). Aside from possessing artistic ability, creativity, and ingenuity, candidates should be especially strong at time management, as props must be pulled / built for each show in roughly 7-14 days. Candidates should be extremely organized, ensuring borrowed props are collected, maintained, and returned, as well as keeping the props storage clean and organized. Lifting items up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and working with construction tools are day to day activity in this position. The Props Master also may swing for backstage Prop Running Crew as needed, and participates in the load-ins / load-outs of props and scenery in both the performance and rehearsal spaces. Candidates must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation includes a weekly stipend of $375, plus shared, dorm-like, housing in walking distance of the theatre, shops, as well as restaurants, grocery stores, and other common needs.
