We are looking for part time, on call, staff members to help setup, operate, and strike equipment for various audio work calls. While this position will primarily support audio, there will be opportunities to work across categories in the theater. Duties: working with the production coordinator and designers, this position will work in a small team to install, operate, and strike audio systems at the performance venues of Fullerton College. Skills: Dante certification, Yamaha CL5/TF/QL system (will offer on the job training on PM5), knowledge of different microphones and their uses, team player, quick learner. Timeline for hiring: Applications will be accepted through the summer with on-going interviews - since we are hiring multiple people for this role, applications are encouraged through Sept. 1 2024. About Fullerton College Theaters, we operate two performance venues, and support two others - our main stage is a fully Dante audio system, with NEXO mains and subwoofers, operated by a PM5. Our second space is also fully Dante, with NEXO mains, operated by a TF3. We support more than 200 events annually, this role would be prioritized on Jazz/Big Band concerts and "advanced" setups - but would have the opportunity to work on many other events. Limitations: we are limited to offering no more than 26 hours per week, no benefits, and no retirement. Schedule: the fall semester starts a little slow, but there multiple events which this role would have the opportunity to work. The spring and summer months pick up, with many opportunities for work.
