POSITION OVERVIEW
Two River Theater (TRT) seeks an experienced individual to fill the full-time position of Properties Supervisor. The Properties Supervisor is responsible for accurately and efficiently meeting the scenic and property needs of all produced and presented works at Two River Theater, while also supervising the day-to-day operation of the properties shop and its staff. This position reports to the Producing Director, manages two full time employees, and collaborates closely with directors, designers, stage management, actors, and other production department heads.

ABOUT TWO RIVER THEATER
Two River Theater produces a theatrical season that includes American and world classics, new plays and musicals, programs for young people, and festivals of new work. Each year, we also offer 40+ events that reflect our diverse community of Red Bank, New Jersey. Two River produces work on two stages+mdash;the 350-seat Rechnitz Theater, and the flexible 110-seat Marion Huber Theater. The theater+rsquo;s recently opened Center for New Work, Education and Design is a three-story facility that includes two rehearsal studios, artist labs, classrooms, expanded shops and centrally located offices. Two River Theater has commissioned and premiered original projects including Be More Chill by Tony Award nominee Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz (the theater+rsquo;s first Broadway production) and Hurricane Diane by former Playwright-in-Residence Madeleine George (which won an Obie Award for its Off-Broadway run). In June 2019, Two River was nationally recognized by USA TODAY as one of +ldquo;10 great places to see a play+rdquo; across the U.S. Two River serves thousands of students and community members through arts and humanities programs at the theater, in schools and throughout its region. Two River Theater is led by Artistic Director Justin Waldman and Managing Director Nora DeVeau-Rosen and was founded in 1994 by Joan and Robert Rechnitz.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+bull; Responsible for identifying and delivering on schedule all properties for productions, education programs and special events
+bull; Collaborate with scenic designers and other creatives to ensure the artistic vision of the production is reflected in the properties of each production
+bull; Manage the workflow of the properties shop. Create a schedule to execute the acquisition and build of all properties. Plan and allocate material and labor resources appropriately
+bull; Support rehearsal by providing rehearsal props, responding to notes in a timely manner and observing when necessary
+bull; Supervise the maintenance of show properties during the run, including the purchase of consumables
+bull; Attend technical rehearsals, previews, design meetings, production meetings, and other internal meetings as necessary as assigned by the Producing Director
+bull; Manage Properties Artisan and Properties Assistant Emerging Professional by providing support and feedback to ensure employees are growing and working to their potential. Responsible for setting and communicating shop schedule, individual working hours and each employees+rsquo; tasks
+bull; Manage a seasonal budget, as well as individual show budgets
+bull; Perform administrative duties required to manage the properties department, such as expense tracking, time and attendance for employees and account reconciliations
+bull; Manage and maintain properties inventory, shop spaces, tools, and storage spaces
+bull; Support other departments and events as needed
+bull; Oversee rental of properties to external clients
+bull; Perform all work in a manner that is consistent with Two River+rsquo;s core values, including our commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED7I), and contribute to the goal of creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive organization by participating in various staff and organizational initiatives

COMPETENCIES + SKILLS:
+bull; Previous experience with properties design, construction, and shopping
+bull; Understanding of design concepts, and the ability to communicate them effectively
+bull; Experience with budgeting both materials and labor
+bull; Experience managing full-time staff, over-hire crew, and early career professionals
+bull; Proficient in carpentry, welding, sewing, upholstery, and prop painting
+bull; Valid driver's license and the ability to drive a cargo van and box truck when necessary
+bull; Work a 40-hour week, with additional flexibility for weekends and evenings during technical
rehearsals, previews and as needed for additional events.

Annual Compensation: $58,000-$62,000. Benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, generous paid time off, an employee assistance program, local business discounts, and a 403 (b) retirement plan.
