Circus Smirkus is seeking two Costume Stitchers/Assistants for their 2024 show, The Imaginarium. One position is available for one week (6/16 through 6/23), and one position is available for two weeks (6/16 through 6/30).

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Working knowledge of costume construction techniques and materials
- Considerable experience with machine stitching and hand finishing
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
- Experience sewing spandex/stretch fabrics
- Experience altering and modifying existing garments
- Craft experience a plus
- Prior experience with circus costumes a plus, but not required

Responsibilities include:
- Complete all assigned projects in an efficient, safe, and timely manner while maintaining the integrity of Designer+rsquo;s vision
- Sew assigned costume pieces by hand or machine
- Assist Associate Costumer with fitting, stitching, embellishing, and altering assigned costume elements
- Assist with costume craft work as needed
- Other duties as needed

The compensation for this position is $750/week. On-site housing and all meals are provided.
