Meadow Brook Theatre, in Rochester Michigan, is currently accepting resumes/applications for our 2024-2025 season. We fully produce 6 shows a season and remount A Christmas Carol every season. As well as hosting a children+rsquo;s series. We are looking for versatility in our interns, the ability to work in several different departments and a +ldquo;positive can-do attitude+rdquo;.

Prop/Scene Shop intern
Would work primarily in the Properties department however, would also work in the Scene shop if needed
Basic Sewing Skills
Basic Building Skills
Basic Scenic Paint skills
Must be able to lift at least 40lb
Willing to work at heights of 20'-25'
Would be on the backstage crew for A Christmas Carol and at least 1 other show
Would be involved in all Light hang and focus calls

*PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNS MUST HAVE AT LEAST A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF LIGHTS (Hang and Focus).* AS WELL AS, BE WILLING TO WORK ALL LOAD-IN+rsquo;S AND STRIKES.

What is involved in this internship:
Contract Dates are approx. September 2024 to (end of) June 2025
$413.20 per week (housing is not provided)
Cleaning
A clear working knowledge of a Professional Theatre
Lending support to the departments assigned
Intern meetings
Work 40 hours a week (overtime will be honored after 40hrs. have been worked within a Monday +ndash; Sunday period)
Mid-season reviews
Needs to be team oriented but can also maintain the stamina, focus, initiative needed to work individually.
Ability to switch departments if needed
Including working for load-ins and strikes
Ability to +ldquo;play well with others+rdquo;
Possess a sense of humor
Possess a positive/+rdquo; can do+rdquo; attitude
Possess a good sense of time management
Possess problem solving skills
A willingness to learn
Airport Runs
A willingness to work long hours if needed
