We are seeking a talented and creative Sound Designer to join our team for our Fall professional show and our fall tour of Shrek at elementary schools throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley .This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to the success of our company.

All employees must be able to submit a LiveScan and acquire an up to date TB test in order to be considered for employment. All employees must also have reliable transportation to and from our various school sites.
Responsibilities:

* Arriving on time at each tech/show site
* Take direction from the stage manager and directors to ensure all cues are executed as intended
* Performing the tasks associated with the loading and unloading of all lighting equipment for set-ups and tear-downs. Providing assistance with load-ins, load-outs, and strikes as required.
* Run all Sound Cues for performances
Sound design the show (this includes any necessary edits, recording pre-show announcement, house music, play-off music, after speeches, etc)
* Set up sound equipment at each location, including speakers, receivers and sound board
* Ensure all cables are properly run and gaffed as needed
* Maintain sound equipment as needed
* Create mic plot + send of give one to SM or ASM to post backstage
* Check in with Director + Stage Manager prior to rehearsal re: Micing and time management
* Perform sound checks before every rehearsal and show
* Ensure Jaxx Theatre and all school sites are left clean and in good, working order
* Ensure any AND all sound/mic issues are addressed and fixed by WEDNESDAY of TECH for a full run through (unless you have Monday off and then Thursday should be your full dress run)
* Make sure all sound problems are taken care of as well as any other sound jobs assigned to you.
* Ensuring you have ALL supplies/inventory replenished before every tech week
* Heavy lifting, must be able to regularly lift a min. of 50 pounds

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sound design.

Proficiency with Behringer x32
Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
