The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking a highly-motivated Live Event Production Manager, who is based in New York or New Jersey to work with us on a full-time basis.
Qualified candidates will have a strong background in technical production and be responsible for pre-production planning through post-event follow up. The ideal Live Event Production Manager will possess a strong ability to manage and communicate production details with clients and crew. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits.
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of technical production for -assigned event
- Conduct site surveys, client meetings/conference calls and event design, as needed
- Collaborate with Account Management staff to determine budget details and labor needs
- Create + Coordinate production paperwork for all disciplines, including drafting plots in VectorWorks
- Onsite management of Frost staff to install and execute events according to design and budget
- Provide technical support to clients, venues, vendors, and Frost staff
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of entertainment lighting systems, audio, video, staging, rigging, fabrication, and electrical power distribution
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, Frost staff, vendors, venue staff, etc. to ensure the coordination of pre-production through to the successful execution of each event
- Ability to prioritize and manage time-sensitive details associated with multiple events simultaneously
- Specialization in one or two production disciplines, while maintaining a thorough working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, fabrication, decor and scenic elements
- Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on production experience and crew management in the special events industry or related field
- Proficiency in VectorWorks, 2D, 3D and Rendering
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment and handling last-minute changes on a frequent basis
- Comfortable with heavy equipment such as boom lifts and forklifts
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
