New Theatre + Restaurant, a premiere dining and entertainment company located in suburban Kansas City, is currently seeking a full-time year-round Technical Director to join our exceptional Design and Production Team! As a theatre artisan, and in collaboration with our team of professionals, this dynamic leadership role implements the creative initiatives of Designers and Directors using practical, workable solutions. Requires a range of experience or skills in all aspects of Technical Theatre, including but not limited to: carpentry, welding, rigging, paint, drapery, electrical, automation, etc.

Ideal candidates possess:
- Degree in Technical Theater required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional experience as a Technical Director or in a related field
- Military experience welcome

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct the construction of scenery for five comedies or musicals each season.
- Supervise and direct production staff in the installation of constructed scenery at each changeover.
- Estimates, propose and control material and labor budgets.
- Estimate, propose and control departmental budgets.
- Account for all expenditures, and for compliance with established purchasing procedures.
- Responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and Local Wage and Labor Laws
