PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

Supervise and manage the build, hang, and install procedures and processes in collaboration with all technical departments. Oversee installation of scenery, rigging, softgoods, and automation.

Supervise, oversee, and manage technical personnel, ensuring safe and efficient processes are followed at all times.

Attend all production/technical meetings (including during tech), as required.

Work closely with and under the advisement of the Producing Director and Production Manager (or other designated production personnel) regarding the hiring of crew, and other technical staff for load in/outs. (Company will do the hiring.)

Assist in managing production/technical purchasing and expenditures, as well as proper and organized tracking of receipts that pertain to scenic expenses for the production.

Bid (and negotiate with in conjunction with A.C.T. of CT Producing Director, and Production Manager) and supervise, outside scene shops for the production.

Manage and maintain all production/technical related paperwork and communications (i.e. Dropbox).

Lead scenic install/strike; provide maintenance supervision during rehearsals and tech; supervise build and/or sourcing of set pieces/furniture/props as necessary.

Oversee and coordinate load-in/tech process/load-out/disposal/rentals/returns.

Oversee and maintain theater inventory (i.e. scenery stock, automation, track, curtains, etc.) and ensure all is in good working order.

Oversee and maintain a safe, organized, and clean theater always.

Assist in developing crew needs for the production in connection with the creative team, Artistic Director, Producing Director, and Production Manager. Assist in sourcing, training, and supervising crews.

Provide technical support for education, new works programs and special events that fall within the term (i.e. annual gala, rentals, Broadway Unplugged, etc.).

Additional and related technical responsibilities not stated herein and as needed to keep the theater/production always running smoothly and safely, and/or as required by Management.

MORE INFORMATION:

Reports directly to the Production Manager.

This is a seasonal position where nights, weekends, early mornings are required from time to time (particularly while in load in, load out, tech rehearsals and production). Capacity for both on-site and remote work.

Possibility to move to full time with the right candidate.

This position will be responsible for overseeing and scheduling other employees.

Qualities required: self-starter, collaborative, good leader, understanding of all technical aspects of theater, and organized.


COMPENSATION DETAILS:

PROJECT FEE: $8,000-$10,000

PAY PERIOD: TBD, but if weekly, paid on a week-lag (exempt)

DURATION: December 2025 through March 2026 (approx. 5 weeks onsite)

HOUSING: Housing may be provided. Applicants need not be local to NY or CT, to apply.
