Ampa Events, an event production company and scene shop, seeks carpenter / event installer for the fabrication of props, scenery, shipping crates and installation of decor, props, scenery and stage lighting.

A Position that is FULL-TIME with benefits and year round for a career minded individual that wishes to settle in one location and plant roots. A successful candidate will have a diverse skill set that is applicable to the event and live production industry. Candidates will need to wear multiple hats and change gears smoothly as operation require.

REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in theater or creative arts
-Positive individual eager to learn and grow with the company.
-Strong carpentry skills. Experience in theatrical production a plus.
-Basic lighting skills, basic wiring skills, general abilities with repairs, understanding of trucks and machinery.
-Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings- CAD or hand drawn. Ability to participate in the design process a plus.
-Good driving record, able to drive small box trucks and pull utility trailers.
-Good written/verbal communications, customer service skills, good with people and be able to interact with clients in a presentable manner while on site.
Comfortable juggling multiple projects and able to improvise.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Construction and installation of scenery; working primarily with wood. Foam, fiberglass, plastics, hard coats and other materials fabrication skills will be a plus
-Act as crew leader or event lead.
-Assist in the Management of inventory and warehouse.
-Travel and overnight stays will be required.

TRAINING
Ampa will train and provide continuing education for committed employees. However, as a Managers Position, candidates must come to this role with superb skills in the aforementioned areas.

$40,000 - $50,000 based on experience
