Overview:
The Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West, FL is seeking an audio engineer to assist with their 2026/27 season. Season includes: Nutcracker Key West, national Broadway tours, several nationally recognized musicians, as well as locally produced dance and aerial productions across multiple venues. The position is seasonal, starting November 1st and ending May 31st. Pay bimonthly with HOUSING PROVIDED.
Job Description:
Oversee audio and backline setup.
Assist with load-in and load-out of all productions as audio head.
Patch and ring out audio rigs.
Run audio and/or projection for events; FOH mixing, monitor mixing, mic tech as assigned.
Service and maintain audio equipment.
Attend all rehearsals and production meetings as assigned.
Monitor and assist backstage as assigned.
Assist TD with all stage setups, including risers, soft-goods, lighting, etc.
Assist all departments as assigned (all members of production work as a team and only departmentalize for run of shows/events).
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of professional experience working as an audio engineer.
Understanding of audio rigs, including: speakers, microphones and backline.
Means of personal transportation.
Crew lead experience a plus.
Avid S6L mixing a plus.
QLab 5 experience a plus.
Overall team player, must be willing to assist all departments as assigned.
