Arrow Rock Lyceum seeks a First Hand for its 65th Season.

The Lyceum Theatre is one of Missouri+rsquo;s oldest professional regional theatres (AEA- LOA-LORT D). In 1961, in an old Baptist church, the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre began entertaining audiences. Now, over a half a century later, The Lyceum continues to entertain audiences in a beautiful, historic setting. Located in the unique Village of Arrow Rock, Missouri, The Lyceum is now housed in a beautiful, intimate 416 seat theatre where Lyceum audiences truly are a part of the action. Each year, more than 33,000 patrons enjoy Broadway-caliber productions created by professional theatre artists carefully chosen from around the country.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Summer season runs from May 12 through Oct. 7, with flexible ending contract dates, based on availability.
Housing is provided for all staff. Also included are free laundry facilities, internet, cable TV and Kitchen area.
Pay range begins at $700/week, BOE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The First Hand will work with the Costume Designer, Stitchers and Wardrobe personnel to execute costume designs in a timely manner.
Supervise completion of all costume elements as specified by designer, director, and choreographer within the time frame.
Assist in overseeing cleaning and returning of stock and rental costumes in a timely manner
This is a hand-on First Hand position that will include construction, alterations, and obtaining of costume pieces.
Assist with shopping, pulling and other common costume shop duties including supply inventory.
Facilitate work flow through the shop by delegating appropriate jobs to shop staff.
Serve as the point of reference for others in the shop as well as other company members.
Report on progress and any issues to the Director of Costuming and/or Director of Production.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The First Hand should be an organized self-starter who has a strong background in costume construction techniques, patterning/draping, costume crafts, and basic tool maintenance within a fast-paced professional setting.
Previous experience is a must.
Ability to lift minimum 35 lbs.
Dedication to maintaining a clean, safe, productive and positive shop environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with wig maintenance.
Have a valid driver's license.
