About the Role:
This is a Request for a Service/Repairs Technician specializing in electronic lighting equipment. Higher wage available if you are ETC or Strand systems service certified. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and required skills:
Primary Job Function: Repair and maintain in-house gear (incandescent fixtures, LED fixtures, foggers, etc.), triage client repairs, and help ensure proper maintenance of rental moving lights.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Repair and Maintain In-House Gear:
*Perform evaluations, testing, and repairs on a variety of in-house equipment, primarily focusing on electronic lighting equipment (incandescent and LED fixtures, foggers, etc.).
* Maintain and troubleshoot other related equipment as needed.
*Determine the end-of-life for in-house fixtures based on condition and repair feasibility.
*Keep the work area neat and organized at all times.

Triage Client Repairs:
*Assess incoming client gear to diagnose issues.
*Determine the best repair route, including in-house repair or referral to external specialists.
*Identify repairs that are beyond the scope of in-house expertise.
*Communicate findings and recommended actions to front-of-house staff.

Rental Moving Light Maintenance:
*Assist in the de-prepping process of rental moving lights.
*Perform necessary maintenance on rental moving lights to ensure they are in optimal working condition.

Administrative and Communication:
Maintain detailed and up-to-date repair logs.
*Work with vendors to procure necessary parts and obtain repair authorizations.
*Collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to determine repair priorities and manage client scheduling.
*Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to set and manage client expectations regarding repair timelines and costs.
*Educate customers on best maintenance practices for their equipment.
*Keep the repairs tracking system consistently updated with the status of all repairs.

Professional Development:
Be willing to undertake out-of-state travel for training purposes as required in the future.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
*Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with electronic and mechanical equipment.
*Solid knowledge of electronics, software, networks, and digital or analog circuitry.
*Mechanical aptitude and experience in electronic repair, particularly with lighting fixtures.
*Experience repairing LED stage lighting is highly desirable.
*Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain a neat workspace and accurate records.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with front-of-house staff, vendors, and clients.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective repair solutions.
