11/14/2026 End Date for +ldquo;Haunt Cast + Load Out+rdquo; Contract


Pay:
$630+/wk. Plus additional 20% compensation for Haunt opening week
Free Provided Housing
Travel Assistance Reimbursement at beginning and end of contract
Paid Sick Time (Contracted for 10 weeks or more)

The Gateway Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County is seeking CARPENTERS and ELECTRICIANS for its 2026 HAUNT LOAD IN and potentially HAUNT RUN/LOAD OUT. The Gateway is a professional non-profit theater located roughly 55 miles east of New York City on Long Island in Bellport, NY. A typical Gateway work week is 5 days. Haunt opening week is 6 days, with additional compensation. Salary is negotiable, and on-site housing is provided. Gateway will also assist with transportation to and from its location in New York.

Haunt Technician Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
. Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, clean + organized office, shop, work, and storage spaces
. Loading in and changing over technical elements (scenery/props/electrics/automation)
. Constructing Haunt scenery /lighting /props /automation /effects on an as needed basis
. Loading and unloading of Haunt storage trailers

Qualifications:
. Must have good communication skills
. Capacity to solve problems
. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work quickly and accurately with attention to detail
. Knowledge of Theatrical building techniques
. Metal Working and Welding skills a plus
. Ability to safely lift 60+ pounds
