Christine A. Moore Millinery based in NYC is currently seeking stitchers and/or craftpersons / milliners. We are a 30-year-old fashion house located in the heart New York City in the accessories and fashion districts. We design several millinery collections a year as well as special projects for all kinds of events, productions/partnerships and media. This is short-term full-time position. We are looking for canidates who are accustomed to quick and tight deadlines, are creative and have an understanding of the collaborative process. The successful candidate should have understanding of soft fiber construction as well as excellent machine and hand-sewing skills. A knowledge of millinery is a plus but not required. We will teach the skills and the process of hat making. The hourly start rate is d$21 an hour with no millinery experience and a higher rate for skilled milliners. Raises given based on performance and speed.
