Position Overview
StageSpot and Olden Lighting are looking for a Lighting Support Associate to serve as the primary technical and service link for our theatrical lighting customers. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for entertainment technology who wants to grow their technical knowledge in a professional office environment.
As a Lighting Support Associate, you aren't just "customer service"+mdash;you are a facilitator. You will guide customers through product selection, generate accurate quotes, and ensure that all account data is precisely maintained in our Zoho CRM so our fulfillment team can process orders flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Theatrical Customer Support + Product Guidance (~40%)
Technical Consultation: Learn and communicate the specifications of theatrical lighting fixtures, and consumables (gels, lamps, tape) to help customers find the right solutions for their projects.
Inquiry Management: Act as the first point of contact via phone, email, and web chat, providing a helpful, industry-literate experience for every caller.
Order Support: Assist customers from their first inquiry through follow-up questions after an order is received, including tracking updates and basic troubleshooting.
Customer Advocacy: Manage customer concerns regarding damaged products or order discrepancies, using professional judgment to initiate return.
Walk-ins + Will Call: Greet walk-in customers and coordinate "Will Call" pickups and +ldquo;Walk-in Orders+rdquo; when necessary.
Sales Support + Data Integrity (~60%)
Small Order Quoting: Efficiently generate accurate quotes within Zoho, ensuring that all part numbers, quantities, and customer-specific requirements are captured correctly.
Information Management: Act as the gatekeeper for customer data; update sales records, shipping preferences, and contact details at the customer's request to ensure the backend processing team has precise data.
Relationship Building: Provide consistent, reliable support to a wide range of Theatrical Lighting Customers, from educational theater departments to professional production houses.
Inventory Awareness: Monitor system stock levels and manufacturer lead times to provide customers with realistic expectations regarding availability.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the front office, order processing, and warehouse teams.
Qualifications + Skills
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Industry Interest: A basic understanding of theatrical lighting, stagecraft, or live event production required.
Clear Communication: Ability to speak and write professionally, translating technical gear specs to make them easy to understand for the customer.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry; you understand that one wrong digit in a SKU can impact an entire production.
Technical Aptitude: Basic Computer knowledge including Email, Google Drive, Excel, CRM/Order Processing Software, and navigating manufacturer websites (Zoho experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate).

Salary: $23.50/hour
