Unicorn Theatre is seeking Carpenters to join our seasonal team. Carpenters are responsible for building, installing, and strike of scenic elements for our (7) show season. Carpenters will report directly to the Production Manager. Additional duties include; assisting in cleaning and maintaining (2) stages, shop space, tools, and building maintenance (light bulbs, paint touch ups.) This position has the potential to work closely with Scenic Designers, Scenic Painters, and Props Designers. All experience levels of Carpenters are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read build drawings from Scenic Design.

- Participate in building, install, and strike of all productions.

- Coordinate Scenic needs with Production Manager

- Assist in Material Acquisition

- Coordinate building maintenance with Managing Director.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of traditional theatrical carpentry and rigging.

- Ability to solve problems quickly.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suites.

- Knowledge of proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety practices.

- Professional experience in technical theatre scenic shops.
