Ampa Events, an event production company and scene shop, seeks an exceptional senior level creative director - event producer with 5+ years of experience developing and implementing unique events that creatively bring value to a client through artistically telling a story, supporting a worthy cause, or advancing a brand.

We seek an accomplished professional. You know who you are...a skilled and versatile event designer and producer who has been involved in meetings, conferences, galas, product launches, trade shows, awards dinners...you have seriously, done it ALL...AND your resume proves it.

Primary job tasks:

- Interpret and/or develop client vision to create unique designs in rendering, drawing, and other media to capture a client's interest and secure a signed contract
- Assume a production manager role for the execution of events, including pre-production workups, fabrication, and installation
- work with clients as needed to achieve clients goals
- create fantastic solution designed to exceed client expectation
- design and build scenic elements and other solutions as needed
- execute programs efficiently, on time with a high level of professionalism
- network with industry groups, and organization to help with new business development
- maintain a vast inventory of scenic and event equipment


Skills required for this position:

-Demonstrated design, theatre, art, decorating, or other creative skills. 5+ years experience. If you have less experience, this is not the position for you
-Strong art sense, well-developed sense of creative conceptualization
-Strong knowledge of design trends and styles
-Rendering and Illustrator experience (Vectorworks preferred); additional hand sketch abilities are a definite plus!
-Expert level experience with fabricating props, scenery, and stage sets to include scenic painting, sculpture, carpentry, and welding skills
-Self-starter, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
-Project management skills
-Experience with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
-A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible to adapt and meet client needs
-Proven communication and presentation skills - good with people and able to interact positively with internal staff and clients
-Good driving record and the ability to safely drive box trucks and pull utility trailers as needed for event installations
-Ability to maintain irregular and extended working hours as needed to meet client needs, including weekend and evening availability. Some travel is required per event schedule
-Good physical fitness - able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 75 lbs.
