The MFA in Theatre, Technical Direction emphasis is a three-year terminal degree that provides comprehensive knowledge of the craft. In your study courses we will cover not only technical direction, but also advanced stagecraft techniques, metal working, rigging, automation, computer drafting, and of course structural design. You will receive one-on-one mentorship and the ability to tailor the curriculum to best suit your needs. Being a TD can mean many things: working professionally in theatres, traveling on tour, joining the corporate world, or teaching in academia. We will work with you to discover your passion and put you on the right path.
