Technical Supervisor (LX / AX / SM) +mdash; Pace Live

Pace Live is an international producer of touring productions across North America, the UK, Ireland, and Australia. We're accepting applications from experienced touring Technical Supervisor for both immediate placement and upcoming tours across the 2026+ndash;27 touring schedule.

This is a senior role and a trust role. The Technical Supervisor is the senior technical voice on the road +mdash; the person the PM defers to on day-to-day technical calls, the person who sets and holds the standard across the tech team, and the person the rest of the crew looks to when things get hard.
Alongside the supervisor responsibilities, you'll also operate one of the three core departmental seats +mdash; Lighting, Audio, or Stage Management +mdash; based on where your strongest experience sits. We're open on which; tell us in your application.

Supervisor responsibilities
Senior technical voice on the road; primary technical point of contact for the PM
Set and maintain technical standards across LX, AX, and stage
Pre-show venue liaison +mdash; working with each upcoming venue in the lead-up to the load-in to build a clear plan of attack for how we execute in that space. Our technical liaison handles formal advancing; your role is the operational read on each venue so the tech team arrives with a plan
Oversee load-in/out planning and execution; step in on technical problem-solving across departments
Mentor and support junior crew; hold the temperature of the tech team
Identify issues early and escalate cleanly

Plus one of the following departmental seats
Lighting
Program and operate from provided documentation at each venue
Rig and focus on arrival
ETC lighting consoles

Audio
Mix live music, dance, and backing tracks
Allen + Heath SQ5, Yamaha QL1, and similar desks
Wireless mic and IEM management; sound check in every venue

Stage Management
Call dance/music shows from prompt copy; QLab fluency essential
Full SM duties: pre-show checks, company logistics, venue liaison, daily paperwork, dance captain coordination

What we're looking for
Strong, recent touring experience in your department (LX, AX, or SM)
Genuine leadership chops +mdash; you've held a senior tech role before, or you're ready to
Comfortable dealing directly with venue technical contacts in the lead-up to each show
Senior-level composure under pressure
Clean communicator up and down +mdash; PMs, SMs, crew, cast, venue staff
Solutions before problems
Not precious about the work, not above any job
Confident on load-in/out in non-union US touring venues

Pay + tour basics
Starting at USD $1,300/week (depending on experience) + $420/week per diem
Shared accommodation and all travel provided
Fast-paced touring schedule +mdash; frequent travel between cities and short engagements at each venue
