The Production Manager reports to the Director of Production and is responsible for managing projects in the production phase with a focus on technical design, fabrication and logistics. Also manages auxiliary departments such as CNC routers and rentals/rigging.

Key Responsibilities:

+bull;Manage multiple shows through the shop; oversee technical design milestones and fabrication to ensure shows are built on schedule and within budget
+bull;Identify, communicate and schedule resource needs for individual projects.
+bull;Prepare fabrication calendars to communicate milestones
+bull;Coordinate with engineering department to integrate drawings onto the floor
+bull;Manage multiple departments comprised of union and non-union labor
+bull;Monitor quality control
+bull;Plan and allocate physical space (both short- and long-term), in coordination with all departments
+bull;Coordinate load out schedules, balancing client needs with trucking and warehouse resources
+bull;Spearhead CNC router improvements + manage education of that department
+bull;Oversee rentals + rigging department for chain motor packages + rigging installations from a Project + Production management role.

Preferred Qualifications:

+bull;Minimum of 5+ years in commercial theatre or entertainment industry experience including supervisory experience and/or MFA
+bull;Experience working with IA contracts for stagehand and scenic art labor
+bull;Ability to read technical drawings and navigate AutoCAD; proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Google G Suite
+bull;Strong understanding of scenic construction and automation
+bull;Familiarity with trucking logistics
+bull;Ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high pressure environment and work efficiently within given time constraints; highly organized
+bull;Ability to communicate ideas clearly
+bull;Self-motivated; team oriented and highly collaborative work style
+bull;Experience developing and implementing Health and Safety initiatives
+bull;Familiarity with automated tooling, such as CNC Lathes, Routers and Mills
