North Shore Music Theatre, a 1500 seat arena style theater, is seeking a Wigs/Stitcher/Dresser for its upcoming 2026 Season.

Employment is from May 19th - December 23rd.

This position is split 2.5 weeks daytime hours in the Costume Shop and 2.5 weeks tech/show schedule on average.

Responsibilities include: Stitching/Alterations for full scale musicals. Performing wig maintenance, restyling, and resetting as directed by Wig Designer during show runs. Assisting with wigs and facial hair during preshow wig call, including pin curls and wig prep. Assisting with actor's own hair and makeup depending on the needs of the show. Performing quick changes/other dressing duties as needed as a member of the Wardrobe staff.

Qualifications: Knowledge of garment construction and alteration techniques required, including knowledge of industrial and home machines, sergers, and blind hemmers. Previous experience running Wardrobe preferred. Knowledge of period hair styling, wig maintenance, cleaning, resetting and restyling required. Previous theatrical experience in running quick changes and backstage tracking involving wigs, facial hair, and costumes is preferred. Cosmetology license and the ability to cut men's hair is a plus.
