Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre is currently seeking artists + technicians of diverse disciplines to apply for Production positions with our company. Our production team will mount 3 productions during the season, with a compensation package tailored to their roles, including complimentary housing within easy walking distance of the theatre. Fresh, clean mountain air, and some of the coldest water you've ever felt...also included with every contract.

We are seeking experienced theatrical professionals to come join our team. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and technical skills specific to their discipline. Professionalism and dedication to high-quality work are essential.

SOUND DESIGNER (SEEKING ONE)
Start/End Date: May 25th - July 5th, 2026
Compensation: $6,000 ($2,000 per show)

Reports To: Production Manager

Primary Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
-Collaborate closely with the Director and Creative Team to design three repertory productions.
-Develop and execute all elements of the sound design, including system drawings, cue creation, programming, and documentation.
-Work in partnership with the Music Director on band install, balance, EQ, and related audio needs.
-Manage audio inventory and coordinate with the Production Manager on purchases for individual shows and long-term development.
-Oversee and support the A1 during installation, maintenance, and daily operation.
-Train and prepare the A1 to mix and run productions throughout the season.

Required Skills and Experience:
-Demonstrated professional experience in sound design.
-Additional experience as an audio engineer.
-Proficiency with QLab and Yamaha CL3 digital mixing console
-Experience recording voiceover and occasional backing vocals.
-Strong technical and interpersonal skills for working with 20+ mic'd actors and a 6-piece band.
-Creative and adaptive problem-solving abilities, both technical and artistic.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time-management, multitasking, and communication skills.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively.
