We are seeking an experienced Touring Video Technician with expertise in building and operating LED walls for live productions. As part of our dynamic production team, you+rsquo;ll play a critical role in creating visually stunning experiences for audiences on tour. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with other crew members.
Key Responsibilities:
+bull; Assemble, configure, and disassemble LED walls for live events and touring productions.
+bull; Troubleshoot and maintain LED panels, video processors, and related equipment during rehearsals, shows, and load-ins/load-outs.
+bull; Collaborate with production designers, lighting techs, and video directors to ensure seamless integration of visuals with other production elements.
+bull; Conduct regular checks on video equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
+bull; Manage video content playback systems and ensure proper synchronization with show cues.
+bull; Provide on-site technical support for LED walls during performances and handle real-time adjustments as needed.
+bull; Assist with inventory management and organization of video equipment during the tour.
Qualifications:
+bull; Proven experience working with LED walls in a touring or live event setting.
+bull; Proficiency with video processors (e.g., NovaStar, Brompton, or similar systems).
+bull; Knowledge of video signal flow, resolution scaling, and content management.
+bull; Familiarity with video playback software (e.g., Resolume, Watchout, or similar).
+bull; Ability to read and interpret stage plots, rigging diagrams, and technical schematics.
+bull; Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
+bull; Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
+bull; Physical stamina to handle the demands of touring, including lifting heavy equipment and long hours.
+bull; Flexibility to travel extensively and work unconventional hours.
Preferred Skills:
+bull; Experience working in large-scale theater touring productions.
+bull; Knowledge of other production disciplines (e.g., lighting, sound, or rigging).
+bull; Certifications in rigging or video systems are a plus.
