A/V MANAGER TYA + CONCERTS

● Housing: Shared housing, fully furnished, collegiate style with a shared bedroom. Weekly Housing fee of $100.00

Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
● Direct Supervisor: Director of Production and Sound Manager
● Have good knowledge of all the shows in the season
● Assist A1 Sound Manager with the day-to-day operations/needs of the Sound Dept.
● Supervise a staff of 1
● Work with TYA and Concert Designers and the Creative teams for each production to fulfill their artistic/sound choices and realize their vision
● Design and run board for TYAs, Concerts, events, offsite events, MSMT gala and any special concerts
● Install the sound package for TYAs, Concerts, events, offsite events, MSMT gala and any special concerts
● Set up of all microphones (wired and wireless), backline gear, monitors, processing/effects equipment, and the mixing console for all shows
● Run sound for mainstage shows as needed
● Assist the sound department with all mainstage shows as needed
● Maintain equipment, supplies, and stock items; participate in day-to-day maintenance
● Facilitate rentals and/or purchases
● Attend/Assist all run-throughs, backstage prep, technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
● Maintain budgets
● Attend all production meetings for TYAs, Concerts, offsite events, and any special concerts
● Adhere to the MSMT Safety protocols and all other applicable MSMT policies + procedures
● Drive MSMT vehicles and box trucks
● Motivate with a positive and respectful attitude
● Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful working environment
● Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Production and MSMT Annual Staff
Qualifications
The following skills and experience are required:
● Superior skills in mixing, editing, and creating effects
● Experience with basic lighting and projector setups
● Excellence in tracking and budgeting consumable expenses
● Knowledge and experience using DiGiCo sound consoles, Lectrosonics SSM wireless mics, Sennhesier wireless mics, Clear-Comm and Hearing Assist Systems
● Aptitude for creative technical and artistic problem solving
● Proficient with Microsoft Office and other applicable software
● Able to manage teams and foster both team and individual growth among employees
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
● Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
● Able to work independently and as a team player
● Detail oriented; able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task
● Drivers license and clean driving record required
● Car preferred but not required
