JOB TITLE: Wardrobe Crew
REPORTS TO: Wardrobe Supervisor
FLSA Status: Temporary, Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION RATE: $22.50 per hour
LOCATION: 170. N Dearborn St., Chicago, IL 60601
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Goodman Theatre seeks additional Wardrobe Crew and Wardrobe Cover Crew for the remaining 2024-25 season. The crew will work together with actors on all changes and will clean and maintain all costumes. Specific dates for the remainder of the season are as follows:
- 04/15/2024 - 05/18/2024 (with possible extension through 05/25/2024)
- 04/29/2024 - 06/01/2024 (with possible extension through 06/08/2024)
- 06/12/2024 - 07/27/2024 (with possible extension through 08/10/2024)
This is an hourly position. Housing and travel are not provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prep and preset all costume pieces
- Assist actors with all changes and costume handoffs
- Launder and maintain all costumes
- Through the tech process develop and document the entire run track
QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of backstage procedures and performance etiquette
- Basic sewing skills
- Wig and hair styling skills highly desirable
- Be well organized and punctual
- Work collaboratively as a team member and maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations
- Model behavior and values consistent with Goodman's Community Agreements and furthering Goodman's IDEAA (inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism and access) goals.
