Summary/Objective
The Assistant Audio Engineer works to ensure sound and technical aspects of the Medora Musical operate efficiently. This position functions as the in-house audio engineer for the Medora Musical and additional performances, concerts, and events. The Assistant Audio Engineer also serves as a consultant for all in-town Audio needs. Trouble shooting may be needed at all Theadore Roosevelt Medora Foundation venues including Old Town Hall Theater, Town Square Showhall, Town Square Patio, Andrist Stage, the Pitchfork Steak Fondue and pop-up events. The Assistant Audio Engineer is responsible for pre and post-show duties including maintaining and repairing audio equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
Promote sales of TRMF events and services by providing all customers with complete information and showing enthusiasm for these offerings.
Stay informed about Medora events and activities to deliver accurate information to guests.
Work as Sound/General Technician, and or support staff as assigned by the Theater Manager.
Serve as a consultant for all in-town Audio needs.
Act as Lead Audio Tech for set up, maintenance, and audio trouble shooting at additional TRMF venues including the Old Town Hall Theater, Town Square Showhall, Town Square Patio, Andrist Stage, the Pitchfork Steak Fondue, as yet TBD performances, concerts, and events outside of the Musical.
Function as the in-house audio engineer for the Amphitheater during additional performances, concerts, and events outside of the Musical.
Assist the Production Sound Designer/Lead Audio (A1) at performances of the Medora Musical.
Assist System Installer and/or lead pre-season installation and post-season strike of all sound elements in all locations.
Perform all Medora Musical (MM) pre-show and post-show duties as assigned by the A1 and Deck Manager.
Maintain cast and band microphones, monitors, and perform necessary basic repairs on audio equipment.
Assist performance with wireless belt packs and mics as necessary or as directed by the A1.
Assist with trouble shooting as needed.
Maintain cleanliness/organization of Audio rooms and Gazebo/Band Performance Area.
Be familiar with BHA safety procedures and protocols.
Participates in workplace safety training sessions.
Be available to work shifts at the Medora Musical and other positions as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
Previous Guest Service Experience preferred.
Must be able to operate sound board, and sound equipment.
Must be able to trouble shoot and fix audio equipment issues when needed.
Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.
Work Environment
This position is generally working outside in hot conditions when working the Medora Musical but may be inside buildings when needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk, hear, hand/eye coordination, stand, walk, have repetitive use of hands and arms, and grasp. Visual acuity to determine accuracy, details and transcribe data, determine neatness and thoroughness of work assigned, and determine safety of workplace surroundings for themselves and guests. Occasionally required to push, pull, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday. Shifts vary based on business needs and the needs of the customer.
