REPORTS TO: Guest Services Manager

COMPENSATION RATE: $18/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Guest Services Associate is an integral part of the Goodman Theatre+rsquo;s front-of-house department. This position is responsible for operating the information desk located in the Goodman lobby with a focus on providing customer service to all patrons and visitors. The Guest Services Associate greets and proactively anticipates the needs of guests and offers thoughtful solutions. This is a part-time position that requires regular evening and weekend hours.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome all guests in a professional, friendly and engaging manner
- Identify and anticipate guest needs
- Remains knowledgeable of all Goodman accessibility offerings.
- Answer guest inquiries about Goodman services, facilities, box office, and surrounding area
- Accurately log and deliver packages, mail and messages
- Follow all security and safety policies and procedures
- Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed
- Complete the opening + closing procedures of the facility
- Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE:
- Customer service-related experience in a high-volume setting preferred. Hospitality experience a plus.
- Must possess sophisticated verbal and communication skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work stationary and active shifts depending on the type of shift (performance/non-performance)
- Ability to submit shift availability for at least three shifts per week (with at least one of those falling on a Saturday or Sunday performance)
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule (mix of day and evening shifts)
- Capable of moving deliveries of up to 50 lbs.
