Music Theater Works is looking for a Props Designer for our upcoming production of "Guys and Dolls", Directed by Sasha Gerritson, Music Direction by Linda Madonia, with Choreography by Clayton Cross.

Job duties for this position include:
- Attend production meetings, rehearsals, designer run, tech, tech meetings, and previews, as necessary to design the production.
- Acquire, build, and/or modify final hand properties for the production, due no later than one week before load-in.
- Assist Stage Management in acquiring appropriate rehearsal substitutes, no later than the end of the first week of rehearsals (01/23/25).
-Have all final props ready by Designer run on (02/20/25).
-Assist with scenic properties, including furniture, fitting the design and intention of the scenic designer.
-Coordinate consumable props for the run of the production with properties crew or in absence of crew, provide consumables for the run.
-Make changes and adjustments according to notes given throughout the tech and preview process.
-Being available and able to make repairs/replacements to properties as needed during the run of the production.
-Arranging transportation of all properties to the rehearsal location and to/from the performance venue according to the production schedule given.
-Oversee the strike, cleaning, and return of all pieces, as well as organize all returns of rentals and/or purchases not used in the production.
