The Gay Men+rsquo;s Chorus of Washington, DC is seeking a FULL BOAR 4 Light Board Programmer/Operator for our upcoming holiday shows at the Lincoln Theatre in December.
Lightboard Programmer/Operator (contractor level): This person will be responsible for programming and running The Holiday Show and providing technical support for these productions. The compensation for this contract is $2100. LOCAL DC ONLY.

WED, 12/04 10am - 10pm: Dry tech AM; soloist rehearsals PM
THR, 12/05 10am - 10pm: Dry tech AM; dress rehearsal PM
FRI, 12/06 10am - 10pm: Dry tech AM; final dress PM
SAT, 12/07 01pm - 10pm: 3pm perf, 8pm perf
SAT, 12/14 01pm - 10pm: 3pm perf, 8pm perf
SUN, 12/15 03pm - 10pm: 5pm perf, strike
*some time negotiable
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist the Master Electrician and Production Stage Manager
● Program and operate the light board.
● Assist in the load-in, hang, circuit, focus, and strike of production electrics as directed.
● Assist in the load-in, set up, and strike of other production elements as needed.
KEY SKILLS + ABILITIES
● MUST have high level proficiency with High End Systems Full Boar 4
● MUST have strong background in theatrical lighting and lighting console programming
● MUST have experience with intelligent lighting
● Ability to read, hang, and circuit from lighting plots.
● Demonstrated ability to problem solve, organize, and plan to achieve goals
● Working knowledge of the following is not required, but helpful
o Theatrical rigging
o Low voltage work
o DC specific electrical requirements
● Valid Drivers License
● Ability to show up on time consistently with a positive attitude
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
● At a minimum, the successful candidate will have diverse work experience in production in the lighting and electrics departments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
● Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
● Frequent standing, walking, bending, frequent use of hands, stooping, and heavy lifting may also be required.
● Must be able to lift 50+ pounds unaided and in repetition.
● Work at height on ladders and personnel lifts may be necessary
