Minimum Requirements: preferred master's degree and/or two years of professional experience
Responsible for:
● Developing patterns and cutting all fabric, including facings, linings, bias strips, plackets, etc..
● Working with the designers and the costume shop manager to plan the construction process for each garment
● Instructing and supervising first hands and stitchers
● Offering group tutorials to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
● Working within the parameters of budget and production schedule
● Assisting designers and shop manager to coordinate fitting schedule
● Attending fittings
● Supervising alterations
● Preparing swatch bags for each designer
● Cleaning cutting area and preparing all patterns and unused fabrics for restocking
● Participating in opening night discussions
