POSITION OVERVIEW
The Creative Producer is a new leadership role at BTE that oversees the Artistic Team and unifies the Resident Acting Company and Production team members. The CP will provide overall management of mainstage productions, presented works, and educational programs in collaboration with the artistic staff. The CP partners with the Managing Director to create and manage artistic budgets, lead all-staff meetings, and coordinate collaboration with the administrative team in the realms of communications, development, and operations. They will also serve as the artistic liaison to BTE+rsquo;s Board of Directors.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Manage the annual artistic and programmatic calendar including performance, rehearsal, and other key dates.
Manage an artistic team of six full-time staff members (three resident actors, a production coordinator/costume shop manager, and facilities/scene shop manager).
Collaborate with each show+rsquo;s Director to approve design team members, and conduct design approval processes.
Manage production schedules to ensure a smooth collaboration between directors, designers, actors, and technical staff. Ensure that all deadlines are being met and expenditures are within budget.
Lead artistic team meetings with a spirit of creativity and collaboration, including the annual play selection process, and co-facilitate all-staff meetings with the Managing Director.
Conduct 360 degree performance reviews of all artistic team members.
Partner with the Managing DIrector to facilitate collaboration between the artistic and administrative teams in the areas of communication, development, operations and board management.
Attend full board, executive committee, and finance committee meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Three years of supervisory experience, managing a team of staff or contractors
Five years experience in professional theatrical producing
Superior organizational abilities and experience with complex project management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conflict resolution practices
Belief in collaborative, collectivized, ensemble-based artistic processes
Ability to lead a team from a big-picture vision to efficient execution of tasks and responsibilities
Ability to build consensus across multiple parties and balance creative aspirations with practical execution
Dynamic and inclusive meeting facilitation
Familiarity with common theater industry standards in artistic aesthetics, design and production
Ability to look holistically at the artistic and technical needs of creative work and accurately assess the company's capacity to produce it.
Compassionate, humanistic approach to leadership and colleagueship rooted in values of equity and inclusion
Experience with budget creation and management
Comfort with using a variety of technological platforms, including competence in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Adobe PDF
Bachelor+rsquo;s and Master+rsquo;s Degree in related field preferred
Team player with a collaborative spirit.

PHYSICAL, TRAVEL, OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Completed criminal background check
Ability to work on-site at the theater full-time
Ability to work evenings for certain events
Ability to walk up one flight of stairs and move event supplies and furniture for set up and break down (up to 50 pounds)
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work and a valid driver+rsquo;s license
Up-to-date vaccinations for Covid-19
