Media Server Specialist/Video Technician (immediate opening)

Show Sage LLC is an audio-visual technology company offering a casual and flexible work environment in which to work with leading-edge A/V technology used across a wide range of applications including theme parks, visitor centers, conferences, theatre, cruise ships and live events. We currently have an opening on our team for a Media Server Specialist in our Franklin Park, IL office developing and supporting solutions based on our media server technologies.

The responsibilities of this full-time role include:
+bull; Assisting company sales personnel in specifying and configuring media server solutions based on customer requirements
+bull; Assisting in all aspects of building, configuring Windows-based and Linux-based media servers and associated software
+bull; Assisting in the design and execution of worldwide tradeshows and product demos, Leading the development of video/graphic content creation where needed
+bull; Working with customers to provide onsite configuration and commissioning services
+bull; Providing customer support (telephone, email, remote access, on-site) including responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, reviewing media server programming, and performing bench testing for customers
+bull; Interfacing with existing and future software solution suppliers to resolve issues, understand future product direction, and evaluate new product additions
+bull; Conducting and assisting in the delivery of customer training sessions

Candidates should have the following experience and skills:
+bull; Experience working with Dataton WATCHOUT or similar media server software (Hippo, Isadora, QLab, PIXERA, etc.)
+bull; Functional knowledge of Windows PC hardware and software, including Windows 11 and gaming-related technologies
+bull; Working knowledge of current video technologies and standards (switchers, routing, codecs/transcoding, video over IP, GPUs/integrated graphics technologies)
+bull; Knowledge of A/V concepts and terminology
+bull; Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to support customers and projects
+bull; Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or similar content creation software
+bull; Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
+bull; Experience testing and benchmarking PC software and hardware solutions
+bull; Ability to quickly learn new media server solutions
+bull; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
+bull; Strong written and verbal communications skills
+bull; Strong customer focus with a passion for creating solutions and solving problems
+bull; In general, candidates must be comfortable with all facets of Windows-related hardware assembly, configuration, and maintenance.
Nice-to-have skills include:
+bull; Knowledge of Linux
+bull; A valid US passport
+bull; CompTia A+, MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, or similar certifications.
+bull; Candidates ideally have a minimum of two years higher education in a relevant discipline.

Benefits:
We offer health, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match and a flexible time off policy. Salary compensation will be $50,000 - $70,000 (+ bonuses) based on skill and experience. Willing to discuss higher ranges with candidates who have appropriate professional experience.
