Playhouse Stage Company is seeking an Audio Engineer for work during its 36th summer season of theatrical productions in New York+rsquo;s Capital Region. The audio engineer will be able to work collaboratively with both the Sound Designer and outside vendors to bring a consistent and professional sound to each performance. Qualified applicants will have previous experience mixing live performances, preferably theatrical shows. This work requires comfort working at heights of and exceeding 25+rsquo;.
Playhouse Stage Company has been producing free, live, outdoor Broadway style musicals in Albany+rsquo;s historic Washington Park for 35 years. Our 3,000 seat amphitheater where our musicals take place, comes alive each summer as our technical staff builds our show from the ground up. This season we are expanding our summer programming and also producing theater in our year-round venue, The Cohoes Music Hall.

Direct responsibilities:
Hang, power and maintain all audio devices in use
Daily maintenance of wireless microphone system
Daily tasks to set up and maintain pit band
Provide needed audio support to relevant work spaces
Provide professional quality audio mix during performances
Maintaining a safe and responsible work place, one respectful of diversity and learning

Required skills
Professional credits as an engineer are required for this position
Working knowledge of wireless and PA systems
Wiling to work collaboratively with Sound Designer and creative team to achieve show goals
Ability to read working drawings
Ability to work at heights exceeding 20 feet
Ability to maintain professionalism
Able to lift 50 pounds consistently and safely
Willingness to learn and work in a high paced and unique environment
