Overview:

Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West, FL, is seeking a well-rounded and experienced ATD for its 2026/27 season. The season includes: Nutcracker Key West, National Broadway tours, world-class musicians and bands, and international dance companies. The position is seasonal, starting October 1st and ending May 31st. Pay is bimonthly. HOUSING IS PROVIDED.

Job Description:

Supervise stage set-up for all events. This includes, but is not limited to, supervision of the set-up of all equipment, lighting, sound, and video where required.
Assist in determining the appropriate number of stagehands to meet the needs of all riders, rehearsals, and concert/performance requirements.
Assist in overseeing the technical needs of all productions.
Work closely with TD to safely execute all technical aspects of productions.
Provide performers with appropriate cues as required.
Manage and assist crews for light hangs, audio set-ups, staging and soft-good hangs.
Assist with load-in and load-out of all productions as a working crew head.
Ensure a safe environment onstage as well as backstage.
Participate fully and directly in all duties and responsibilities of the production crew.
Act as Head Flyman when necessary
Oversee performances and events as needed
Service and maintain tools and equipment
Attend all rehearsals and production meetings as assigned
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years professional live entertainment/event experience (road house experience is a plus).
Ability to take initiative, act independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize.
Able to hang, circuit, patch, and focus both intelligent fixtures and conventional fixtures.
Experience managing small to medium-sized groups of stagehands/techs.
Counterweight fly system experience.
General knowledge and experience in all technical departments.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Rigging experience is a plus.
QLab 5 experience is a plus.
Overall team player.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Means of personal transportation
