The Estimator works in the Project Management department and is responsible for preparing estimates.

Key Responsibilities
+bull; Assist Project Management team in reviewing potential projects including identifying construction challenges and potential areas of concern; Provide written and oral summaries to PMs.
+bull; Work with Project Management team to produce budgets for scenic construction including:
+bull; Detailing materials and methods for construction for pricing.
+bull; Researching vendors and analyzing historical data to prepare time, material, and labor cost estimates.
+bull; Consulting with other Hudson departments including Engineering, Scenic Artists, Automation, Set Electrics, Production Management, etc.
+bull; Consult with vendors regarding manufacturability and potential alternates. Obtain quotes for estimates.
+bull; Gather and review historical and live project data to aid in future estimation.
+bull; Assist in finding creative solutions and new building techniques to meet budget, schedule, design, and technical requirements of client.

Qualifications
+bull; Minimum of 3+ years in commercial theatre or entertainment industry construction + estimating.
+bull; Strong understanding of scenic construction and automation.
+bull; Strong AutoCAD skills + ability to navigate Inventor, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
+bull; Knowledge of advanced automated tooling, such as CNC Lathes, Routers and Mills .
+bull; Experience working with IA contracts for stagehand and scenic art labor.
+bull; Ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment and work efficiently within given time constraint.
+bull; Ability to communicate ideas clearly.
+bull; Self-motivated; team oriented and highly collaborative work style.
