Job Summary:

As Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects for our live events. Ensuring a smooth, exciting and high calibur experience for our spectators and performers.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee all technical aspects of the dance competition, including lighting, sound, video and stage setup.
-Collaborate with the team and venue staff to ensure seamless execution of the event.
-Manage and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
-Troubleshoot all technical systems as needed in the auditorium, backstage and lobby areas.
-Conduct on-site testing of all equipment to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.
-Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations during the competition.
-Occasionally fill in for Emcee or other positions as needed.
-Manage and oversee truck loading and unloading.

Requirements:

-Proven experience in technical production for live events, preferably within the performing arts industry.
-Proficiency in using lighting and sound equipment, including but not limited to mixing live audio, analog mixing consoles and microphones.
-Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage on-site team and coordinate with event office staff.
-Familiarity with video/projection software and equipment.
-Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
-A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch technical support for the competition.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Other Information:

Seasonal job working January-July. Applicants must reside within the United States within close proximity to a major airport. Travel is required. Events will be scheduled anytime between Thursday-Monday. Compensation is based on the number of event days. Please note that this position may require heavy lifting, as well as market and dance floor setup.
