Production Prop Crew (Seasonal) Dates/length of contract may variety based on production.

Cedar Point, one of the oldest amusement parks in the country, is looking for energetic, creative, driven staff for it's 2025 season. Each year, Cedar Point's Live Entertainment division produces over 15 productions including interactive/immersive shows, music reviews, cover bands, special events, and more! We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to be apart of our fall production team.

Reports to: Prop Operations Supervisor

Position Responsibilities:
The Prop Crew is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation for all production props.
Accurately track and account for all props in assigned show productions.
Assist with construction, distressing, and apply treatments for all props.
Communicate daily needs with shop management.
Assist in completion of show notes.
Accurately track and manage production show props.
Effectively created/run prop production track.
Coordinate with show leadership for overall success of production.
Load in and out of props at venues.
Ensure the longevity and integrity of production props.
Adhere to and uphold Prop Shop + Park policy.
Adhere to safety standards with PPE. Mandatory adherence.
Maintain confidentiality related to company and production information.
Maintain a neat workspace.
Work in tight areas may be required from time to time.
Use proper prop/scenic painting techniques and textures.
Willing to take constructive criticism and be open to learning new methods.
Must be able to understand and react quickly to new directions in a fast-paced environment involving multiple venues.
Periodically deliver props to venue from shop, extensive walking is involved.
Must be able to work nights, mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Any other and all duties deemed necessary by management pertaining to the Costume/Prop and Performance Departments.

Education + Experience:
Must be actively pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theatrical Properties Construction or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
Minimum of 1-2 years professional prop construction experience in theatrical/event setting

SKILLS + Knowledge:
Maintain positive attitude, high level of organizational, communication, problem solving skills and ability to work well in a fast paced environment, and meet deadlines.
Experience handling large and small scale props.
Ability to work in tight backstage areas is required.
Thrive in a deadlines centered environment.
Basic knowledge + understanding of prop construction practices/principles.
Ability to follow and maintain construction Prop Shop safe practices.
Ability to construct and alter theatrical props using Cedar Point techniques and guidelines.
Strong understanding of prop/scenic painting techniques and textures.
Willingness to learn operations of 3D printing.
Willing and open to learning new techniques.
Must be able to take instruction in a professional and positive manner.
Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a professional work ethic.
Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.
