About Us: Laguna Playhouse, a nationally acclaimed, non-profit, professional theatre located steps away from the Pacific Ocean in the charming arts colony of Laguna Beach, CA seeks a Child Performer Supervisor for our upcoming Christmas PANTO. Reporting directly to the Production Coordinator and Production Stage Manager, the Child Performer Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating backstage activity for all minors involved in the production.
About the Position: The Child Performer Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating pick up and drop off of child actors for rehearsals, tech, and performances, working as the point person for parental contact before, during, and after rehearsals, tech, and performances. During performance, the wrangler will supervise the child actors, making sure they make entrances, and helping maintain the discipline when the actors are off stage. The Child Performer Supervisor is also expected to be personable and able to build a trusting relationship with parents in order to effectively communicate and answer questions.

+bull; Experience working with children in a theatrical setting.
+bull; Ability to work with parents or guardians of minors in an effective and personable manner.
+bull; Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
+bull; Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills.
+bull; Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues.
+bull; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.
+bull; Will be required to successfully pass a background check.

+bull; Be the main point of contact for parents/guardians who are dropping off and picking up their child actor
+bull; Coordinating with the state and Human Resources to coordinate site visits, if necessary.
+bull; Be present onsite whenever child actors are called (rehearsal, tech, and performances).
+bull; Supervise all child actors who are present onsite and guide them throughout their show track.
+bull; Become a liaison between child actors, parents and local Stage Management in regards to scheduling.
+bull; Other duties as assigned as needed
